IOSH Registration, Exam & Certificate

The IOSH course and part of the assessment are all completed and submitted online, which means that you can work at your own pace and in your own time. This means that our course is highly flexible and ideal if you require your certificate urgently for a job application.

The price listed above includes the course, assessment, IOSH registration, certificate, postage, two exam attempts and any additional enrolments required, so there are no extra fees to worry about.

The steps to get your certificate are as follows:

  1. Purchase the course using the 'Add to Basket' button above. You will be given immediate access to the course and a PDF workbook.
  2. Our system will automatically register you with IOSH, who will process your application within 5 working days.
  3. After successful completion of the assessment, your results will be sent to IOSH automatically who will process your results within 5 working days. You will also receive a Certificate of Completion.
  4. IOSH will produce your certificate and send it to us, usually within 5 working days of you passing the assessment. We will email you a scan as soon as we receive the certificate and then forward it to you.

Learners will cover:

  • The three essential principles for good safety and health performance.
  • The types of performance indicator in the workplace.
  • What is meant by auditing.
  • The types of evidence used in an audit.

Assessment

The IOSH Managing Safely® assessment is split into two parts: a multiple-choice question paper and a risk assessment project.

The question paper features 30 multiple choice exam questions and is completed online once you have finished the course. Candidates will have one hour to complete this question paper, which must be completed in one sitting, treated as a closed-book exam, and cannot be revisited or restarted.

After the question paper is completed, you must complete a risk assessment project in your workplace that will be marked and assessed to ensure that it meets the IOSH criteria before your certificate can be issued.

The assessment cannot be attempted until all of the course modules have been completed, and must be taken within 3 months of starting the course. If you fail the assessment, you can contact us and we will reset the course free of charge so that you can try again.

Duration

It takes approximately 22 hours to complete the course in full. This should be spread out over multiple sessions and must be completed within 3 months of starting.
